Jesus did many miracles when He was here with us on earth, and among those were when he healed people with sickness. He made the crippled walk and the blind see. He even cured a man with leprosy whom no one dared to come near to. Jesus is the Divine Healer, and nothing is impossible with Him. Through faith and prayer, healing is ours.
5 Verses For The Healing Of Sickness:
“I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord.
God spoke these words during the restoration of Israel and Judah, and these were spoken with true conviction because God’s words are the truth. He has the power to make things done, and if we pray and offer ourselves to him, He is a loving God who can restore our health.
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Our sins are the sickness of the soul. God wants us to understand that it needs far greater healing than any physical ailments. We need to confess, pray, and repent to gain restoration of our souls. We all came out pure and free of sins, but living calls for worldly yearning which deviates us from living for God. However, He offers to heal as long as we seek it.
“You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.”
God is the One who sent us into this world, and all He wanted was for us to live in goodness. That has never been easy for humanity as we tend to desire much more than we need, and it all comes back to Adam and Eve’s disobedience, eating from the Tree of Knowledge. Their act made them know evil and feel the desires they shouldn’t have had. However, if we start serving the Lord, offering ourselves unto him, He can restore our health and protect us from sickness.
“The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health.”
This verse confirms that God is a caring One. He loves us all and takes care of the sick in ways we might not see and understand. God is merciful and loving that He never leaves our side. We just have to offer all our suffering.
“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
Jesus uttered these words to a woman who was sick and reaching out to Him. She was afraid that she might be humiliated that’s why she was hesitant to come forward. However, Jesus called her daughter, and it meant so much because she was the only person Jesus ever called daughter. It showed His love and its humility that He saw no status. He declared to the woman that because she believed, she was therefore healed.
We gain healing based on our faith, and it is true. It may seem hard to believe nowadays because people are dying of sickness. However, if we truly offered our lives to God, our body wouldn’t have committed worldly sins. Greed makes us act accordingly, eating more than what our body requires, giving in to temptations, and depriving ourselves of rest because of pleasure. These things cause us to be physically sick, but they are the sins of the soul. If we offer our lives to God, we will understand His ways which may be the opposite of ours, but they deliver more than just health but eternal life.
